Today is day +10...these are the most crucial days...(day +7-+16) the days when the ANC's (absolute neutrophil counts) drop to zero. Today they are at .1...this means that Dale has no ability to fight off any infection and is the most vulnerable and susceptible to anything...the time when it is the most dangerous.
But, we know that our God is an awesome God and can keep his body fighting and going forward! Dale is currently the same as yesterday...headache, body aches, rashes, mouth sores. His counts should be zero'd out by tomorrow. We've been told they will stay at zero for several days before they see any increase, (which is expected by day +20)... And we pray for increase!!!!! That will mean the transplant is working! Prayers through this dark valley of days with neutropenia are appreciated.
